OVH has very good DDOS protection, if you require something cheaper - Maybe take a look at their child companies?

The protection should be enough, well hopefully. I've been using it while playing high ranked competitive esport matches and haven't had issues.

So I have some question I hope you can answer:

1. I keeping "Optimized anti-ddos protection" and "High Anti-DDoS protection for your game server" this doesn't really tell me anything. For Montreal, how much protection is offered exactly?

2. I understand OVH recently started offering dedicated servers and protection specifically for game servers. https://www.ovh.com/us/dedicated-servers/game/

The OVH protection is SOLID! OVH is trusted, used by some of the best hosting companies out there. I can tell you, if you have system admin knowledge, you will have no problem. Running both a TS3 and MC before and no issues, ping and latency are both great all around. The extra power (CPU RAM ETC.) will also help keep your server stable during a DoS/DDoS.
-Hope this helps-

1. Each location offers around 160GB of protection.
2. OVH prices are some of the most affordable in the industry. You won't find a cheaper server with DDoS protection.
