Windows on vps

Keep in mind your VPS does not have a dedicated graphics card. That means graphics will be processed by the CPU.

Kubuntu 14.04 default gui is KDE 4 - which will chew up around 30% of your CPU (1 core).

I've tried CentOS 7 with KDE Plasma and the gui chews up 100% of the CPU (1 core). I assume the same is true for Kabuntu 15.04

I've tried CentOS 7 with Cinnamon. Didn't check CPU usage. However Cinnamon crashes using X2GO

XFCE is easy to install. It uses very little CPU and works well with X2GO

Currently trying CentOS 7 with MATE

During the order process select the following:

Operating system: Linux
Distribution: Ubuntu
Version: Kubuntu 14.04
Language: Your choice

*You can install another OS on to your VPS at any time via the Control Panel.

Thank you!

Hello Tdnapa,

As mentioned by Scsa20, the OVH VPSs that support Windows are in the VPS Cloud range.
Otherwise you can install Kunbuntu 14.04 Desktop on all of our VPS models.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
