Getting modules for non-distribution kernels

2015-10-21, 11:07 PM

I'm trying to find out how to get the modules for the kernel provided in the Ubuntu OVH image. I ask because I have some services I have running that are resulting in:

"could not open moddep file '/lib/modules/3.14.32-xxxx-grs-ipv6-64/modules.dep.bin" errors.

Some info:
#uname -a
Linux Prime 3.14.32-xxxx-grs-ipv6-64 #5 SMP Wed Sep 9 17:24:34 CEST 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I know I can install the generic kernel through 'apt-get install linux-image-generic' and boot it but I want to use the provided kernel by OVH since its security hardened (I assume with Grsecurity). Would I be able to get those modules for the custom kernel provided by OVH somehow?

The /lib/modules/ directory is empty which I assume needs to be populated with the modules for the custom kernel.

I appreciate the help
