Hello,

In fact, those IPs are the OVH Monitoring IPs. This is completely normal activity, and you should not be concerned.

thanks.

I am certain 198.100.154.250 is OVH's IP that's pinging my VPS for status on PING, SSH, HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, and SMTP to show on the CPanel.

My CPanel was showing SSH disabled. After I allow 198.100.154.250 SSH, my CPanel then start showing SSH as enabled.

Hi xjetc,

OVH will never attempt to log into your server. These IPs do belong to one of our clients.
If you do not recognize these IP addresses do not allow them to access your server.

In this case you may contact our abuse team through this website:
https://abuse.ovh.ca/

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

James @ OVH

I am getting attempts to SSH from 198.100.154.250 and UDP packets from 198.100.154.249. These are OVH IPs.

Should I allow them?
